Welcome to the Montana EMS Memorial Foundation

Every day, Emergency Medical Services (EMS) professionals risk their lives to save strangers. Some pay the ultimate price.

At the Montana EMS Memorial Foundation, we are dedicated to honoring those who have fallen in the line of duty — and to supporting the families, colleagues, and communities they leave behind.

About Us

Building Bridges, Changing Lives

We are the Montana Emergency Medical Services Memorial Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded to honor EMS professionals who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

Our organization is 100% volunteer-run — no salaries, no overhead. Every dollar we receive goes directly toward memorials, family support, and EMS community education.

Whatever It Takes

To remember. To honor. To build a future where EMS heroes are never forgotten

Our Mission

Caring Hearts, Stronger Communities

To honor the EMS professionals who gave everything in the line of duty, to support their families in times of unimaginable loss, and to inspire future generations to serve with the same courage

Honor the Fallen

We are building Legends Park — a memorial space where EMS heroes will be remembered forever. Through static displays, symbolic installations, and engraved names, we ensure that their stories live on.

Support Their Families

From full scholarships for children of fallen EMS professionals to bereavement support and counseling, we are here for the families left behind — emotionally, financially, and with lasting care.

Inspire the Future

We believe in educating and empowering young Montanans. Through school outreach, storytelling, and community events, we’re planting the seeds for future EMS professionals to follow in heroic footsteps.

Our Sponsors

We received a generous donation from the Metro Aviation family. They are no stranger to being a huge part of the Emergency Medical Services as everything they do is all about safety and saving lives. Sadly, they also know the heart breaking feeling of losing EMS crews in the line of duty, Still, they carry on and you can count on them to be there when you need them. Metro Aviation was incorporated in 1982 as a Helicopter charter, flight training and maintenance operation. Their entry into the air medical service business came in November 1983 with two used Hughes 500-D model helicopters, when Metro Aviation entered into a long-term agreement to provide helicopter ambulance service for Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. Metro Aviation now has air medical transport operations throughout the United States. The Metro Aviation logo will be placed on our sponsors wall in Legends Park showing their commitment to honoring EMS providers who lost their life in the line of duty. Thank you Metro Aviation for your generous donation. 100% of your donation completely funded the creation of this website.

For over 133 years the staff at Benefis Health System have been saving lives and taking care of their Montana community 24 hours a day 365 days a year. We have never known such a dedicated group who care about their community as Benefis does. It is what makes each and every one of the Benefis Health team the number one healthcare organization in Montana. Several of the Benefis health care team have made the ultimate sacrifice to save a complete strangers life. It is who they are and most importantly what they do, day in and day out every day. Because everyone matters to the Benefis Health Care Team. We are proud and honored of the care that Benefis provides to Montana and thankful for the generous donation we received to go towards the building of Legends Park where we will honor all of those in the EMS field who gave their lives in the line of duty to save another's life. The Benefits family knows the heart break of losing EMS members in the line of duty to save someone's life. THANK YOU Benefis for all that you do and your generous donation towards Legends Park.

Sophie's Country store, found on Etsy, has stood by our dream of Legends Park from the creation of the idea and has offered Montana Emergency Medical Services Memorial Foundation branded items, decals, T-Shirts, sweat shirts, coffee cups and more custom items. Sophie's Country Store has offered a perpetual donation 100% of every item with the Montana EMS Memorial Foundation brand to go towards all the operations costs of our foundation. Thank you to everyone at Sophie's Country Store for your generous donation.

The words of Ms. Katie Boyce, lead instructor at Inter Mountain Medical Educators in Bozeman Montana, "Life Saving Training, Life Changing Experiences" could not be more true. When our Founder/CEO approached Ms. Boyce with the idea of our foundation and the plans on where she wants it to go (knowing of the quality of EMS Education provided by Ms. Boyce and her team); our founder asked if Inter Mountain would be willing to provide discounted rates for the son(s) or daughter(s) of an EMS practitioner who gave their life in the line of duty. Ms. Boyce responded without hesitation stating that Her firm will donate 100% of the EMT Class to a Son or Daughter of a fellow EMS Provider's family. Keep in mind that our Founder/CEO and Ms. Boyce only had a professional working relationship and had only met a few times in person. It is true that Ms. Boyce embodies the true definition of someone who cares. We want to thank Ms. Boyce and her team for this perpetual donation of scholarships for the family of and Montana EMS professional who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Twisted R Ranch is a working cattle ranch located in Texas, Wyoming & Montana known for their breeding and training of Movie Star Cattle, seen in TV shows and feature films all over the world. They have even earned a Star on Hollywood Blvd. Twisted R Ranch is also known for being the #1 show Livestock Transportation service. These folks at the Twisted R have been supporters for us every step along the way to make Legends Park a reality. They even offered us 25 acres for the park as a 100% donation. Sadly, their ranch is very rural and we need land in close proximity to a populated area. However, they have donated several John Deere Tractors for the building and maintenance of Legends Park once it is completed as well as a Monetary donations every month to help cover our operating costs. We want to thank everyone at the Twisted R Ranch for standing by us and always being there for us every month.
